HRD Group Activities at a Glance

HRD Group has been contributing significantly towards producing an ‘inquiring society.’ In its mandate, it has various activities which have potential for generating a strong knowledge base. These numerous schemes cover a wide range of scientists (aging from 16 years to 65 years). Top 20% of NET qualified candidates of the preceding year Once a year. Examination on 2nd Sunday of July every year.  Rs 10,000/15,000/-pmb with contingency grant of Rs 50,000/- annually. 1 + 4 years
  1. JRFs and SRFs are expected to register for and obtain Ph.D. degrees by the end of tenure.

  2. In addition, house rent allowance (HRA) according to the rules of the organization where placed, is admissible.

  3. Further details, terms and conditions and application proforma can be obtained from the Head, Human Resource Development Group, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, New Delhi – 110 012.

  4. For JRF, SRF and RA positions, there is relaxation in age limit upto 5 years for SC /ST /OBC / physically handicapped and women candidates.

  5. The stipend can be fixed in any of the three categories depending upon qualifications/ experience/ recommendations by the Committee.

Along with the plethora of activities done by HRDG, the Industry Sponsored Special PhD Programme (ISSPP) has been launched for NET qualified students.
